About The House

After years of running Grange Barn, we knew there was something really special about weddings that feel relaxed, personal and genuinely well looked after. Couples often tell us they want a venue that feels beautiful, but not formal; organised, but not rigid; full of character, but still easy for their guests to enjoy.

Hafod House is the next chapter for us.

Set in the North Wales countryside near Chester, this beautiful country house is being carefully renovated into a warm and characterful wedding venue with landscaped gardens, countryside views, thoughtfully designed bedrooms and spaces made for celebrating properly.

Hosting weddings from Spring 2027, Hafod House will bring together the experience of the Grange Barn team with a completely different setting - a relaxed country house wedding venue with a cosy, considered feel and a personal approach from start to finish.

From Our Family to Yours.

Hafod House is run by Sally and Tom Charlesworth, the team behind Grange Barn. We know how much trust goes into choosing a wedding venue, so our approach is personal, organised and reassuring from the very first viewing through to the wedding day itself.

Ceremony Spaces

You will be able to say your vows inside the house in The Glass Room or outside within the mature gardens or on The Decking, making the most of the views across the Welsh countryside. Whether you want an indoor ceremony with character or an outdoor ceremony surrounded by greenery, we will help you find the setting that feels right for your day.
